  • AARP Work & Retirement – A nonprofit organization for people 50 and older. Includes articles about job hunting, working after retirement, and budgeting and saving.
  • American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry – Information for both caregivers and care recipients; includes depression and dementia fact sheets, resources for caregivers, and the latest caregiver research.
  • City of Warrenville - Seniors – City of Warrenville services for Seniors, including transportation and utility assistance.
  • Driver Safety Program for Seniors – AARP's Driver Safety Program is designed for driver’s aged 50 and over. Classes are offered locally, search at this site.
  • DuPage Housing Authority – Program providing rental assistance to income-eligible families and individuals, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
  • DuPage Senior Citizens Council – Initiates, delivers, monitors and coordinates services, which promote the ability of older persons to live their lives in dignity. Also offers a senior nutrition program and home maintenance program.
  • Eldercare Locator – By entering a zip code, caregivers and older persons can locate local information and referral organizations. These organizations can help them locate appropriate services. Provided by the U.S. Administration on Aging.
  • Family Caregiver Alliance Resource Center – Provides information on a variety of caregiving resources; 40+ fact sheets (some in Spanish and Chinese); online support groups and care planning consultation, and policy alerts.
  • Illinois Circuit Breaker & Illinois Cares Rx Forms – Illinois Department on Aging's Circuit Breaker program provides grants to senior citizens and persons with disabilities to help them reduce the impact of taxes and prescription medications on their lives.
  • Illinois Department on Aging – A source of services provided by the State of Illinois for Seniors, including a Directory of Agencies serving seniors, Illinois Circuit Breaker, grandparents raising grandchildren, caregiver support, and much more.
  • Medicare for Caregivers – This site includes a directory of participating physicians, comparison of supplemental insurance plans, and data from Nursing Home Compare.
  • Metropolitan Family Services – Provides and mobilizes services needed to strengthen families and communities through multiple partnerships. Senior and caregiver support services, violence prevention programs, counseling, mental health services, financial literacy.
  • National Alliance for Caregiving – Provides tips for caregivers, links to other caregiving resources, and the AXA Family Foundation Family Care Resource Connection, a comprehensive database of books, websites, and other family caregiving resources.
  • National Council on Aging – Lists more than 1,000 federal and state assistance programs for older adults. An online questionnaire helps the user identify what programs he or she may be entitled to, along with instructions on how to apply for them.
  • Needy Meds – Needy Meds lists pharmaceutical companies that offer programs to assist patients unable to buy necessary medicines.
  • Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging – Information for both caregivers and care recipients. Includes information on local resources in northeastern Illinois for the National Family Caregiver Support Program and links to state and national resources.
  • Nursing Home Compare – Provides detailed information about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country. Also includes a Guide to Choosing a Nursing Home and a Nursing Home Checklist to help with nursing home choices.
  • RetiredBrains – Information on creating and updating resumes, as well as job postings.
  • Senior Citizens Resource Directory – A source providing information on services for seniors in DuPage County, including elderabuse, home delivered meals, transportation, housing and a lot more.
  • Senior Citizens' Resources – The source for Federal Government programs for seniors, including:  consumer protection, end-of-life issues, health and housing, laws, retirement, money and taxes plus a lot more.
  • Senior Community Service Employment Program – Offers placement, counseling and training to people 55 and older who are entering or re-entering the job market.
  • Senior Home Sharing – Provides a shared senior lifestyle through the creation of group homes where seniors live together as a family with private bedrooms for six or seven seniors.
  • Senior Resource Directory – Listings of resources for those ages 60 and over. Published by DuPage County Senior Services.
  • SeniorJournal.com – Daily news and information just for seniors online, includes the latest tips on medicine, social security, Medicare, fitness, politics and much more.
  • Today’s Caregiver – Offers care tips, links to local and national resources, online discussions, and articles from the magazine Today's Caregiver.
  • Well Spouse – Provides spouses of the frail elderly with a virtual support community, including message boards and live Internet chats with other spouse caregivers. Links to disease-specific Internet sites are also highlighted.
  • Wired Seniors – A website providing information on seniors' discount mail, seniors helping seniors, a home exchange, seniors’ radio, and much more.
