Strategic Plan
The Library Board of Trustees approved a revised 5-year plan in August 2008. The plan consists of three strategic priorities (current priorities) and two strategic principles (past priorities that now serve as guiding principles for the organization):
-
Priority #1 - Connect with the Community
-
Priority #2 - Promote Library Programs and Services
-
Priority #3 - Plan for the Future
-
Principle #1 - Promote Principles of Professionalism
-
Principle #2 - Expand Relationships with the Library Foundation
The Strategic Plan also includes the District’s Principles of Professionalism that were adopted in 2004. The principles describe the way that employees and trustees aspire to operate on a daily basis with each other and with the public. The four Principles are accountability, customer service orientation, integrity, and teamwork.
