The library is governed by an elected board of trustees. The board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the library meeting room. Board agendas and minutes.
The Library maintains certain records that are accessible upon request by the public. Many records, including minutes, ordinances and financial reports, are available through various links on this website. The Library’s fiscal year begins on July 1. Each year, the Library Board of Trustees establishes a working budget which allocates funds for materials and services, maintenance of property, and library staff. The library’s finances are audited at the conclusion of each fiscal year.
Throughout the year, the Library’s Board of Trustees adopt ordinances including Prevailing Wage, Budget & Appropriation, and Tax Levy. View recently adopted ordinances.

Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities include program and clerical assistance and collection maintenance. Patrons interested in volunteering may call the library at 393-1171. View and print a volunteer form (pdf file).
The Library serves a population of over 13,000 and has more than 100,000 items in the collection. Library statistics reflect the increasing usage of its services and materials.

The library district was formed in 1979. Today, library visitors enjoy a newly renovated, 30,000 square foot facility.
